Development Information

Development time: 1 month

This game was originally going to be a "Cozy game".  Similar to Snowstorm, my first prototype released here, this game was meant to simply involve the player wandering around and potentially interacting with NPCs. After playing around with mechanics, however, I became attracted to the idea of creating a game involving a more "dark" theme to it.

Overall, the skills I worked on with this game were:

  • Procedural generation
  • Creating lasting architecture (avoiding "throw away code")
  • UI settings for greater accessibility

Neat game, made a short review about it on youtube, I can't wait to see updates and how this evolves.

p.s

Sorry about the mic, plan to get a new one soon

Hi CombativeStorm,

Thank you for taking the time to review my game. Seeing someone take so much interest in what I made was a nice surprise! Your video brought up some great points about level design that I will consider in the future. My plan for now is to work on other prototypes to get some experience with other genres (if you look at my dashboard right now, most of my games are set in snowy landscapes haha), but I will definitely make some of your requested changes if/when I come back to this project, and I will be sure to incorporate these decisions in future games moving forward.

Thanks,

Robbie

I'll be keeping my eye on your upcoming projects! Can't wait to play them.
